I have noticed changes in her bowel movemnets here is what is going on her poop is coming out like a sting of perals,  this morning she was very miserble,  I am very concered.  Then this morning she usually has a lot more poop in her corner and there wasn’t much.  Last nigh she still had a string attached to her like part of it was still inside.

I read on line that I can give her unsweetened pure pine apple juice but it didn’t say how much it did say every hour.  How long do I do this for, will she have the runs.

You need to make sure she is drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of grass hay. The “string of pearls” means that the ingested fur is coming out which is good but it is still something that needs monitoring.

You may need to take her into the vet for motility drugs and sub-q fluids if you feel she is not getting better. They will palpate her stomach and may do an x-ray to see if she has a mass in her stomach.

You mention “the runs” too – is this separate from her “string of pearls”.

Pineapple juice might hydrate her but you are better off with water.

I’m not sure so I would stick with fresh water.

I just called the vet and the receptionist said that I may want to have her seen since the string of pearls has been going on for awhile.  The she told me that they had a bunny die recently because of hair balls.

I am comfortable that she did not poop as much as she normally does.  It seems to be getting worse

I would definitely take her in then and let the vet look at her.

Yea, I would definitely take her in to get checked out.

I found with Tucker that was starting to happen..but it only lasted for a day and then stopped.  But anyway..I just switched her hay to brome grass and she’s been eating MUCH more of it.  Now that she’s eating more hay I’ve found that her poops are larger and better formed then they were before.  I think since she likes this hay and eats more it helps to push things through better.  Before this she was having some string of pearl poops and some tiny poops.

Maybe along with the fresh water a new kind of hay that’d entice her to eat more would push things through?  I’d definitely check with a vet since I don’t know for sure…but that’s just what I would think might help.
