Hi, I am so confused, I got my rabbit when she was 2 months old, and the person my mom got her from told her she was spayed already, which doesn’t make sense because she was less than 2 months when the other person had her. But before I took her to the vet to get her checked out to see if she was spayed I tried litter box training her, I didn’t do it before because she was a baby now she’s old enough and I heard it’s easier at the age she is to litter box train her, but anyways she learned how to use her litter box within a few days. None of it makes sense she I don’t know how she got spayed so little. Is it possible for baby bunnies less than 2 months to survive being spayed?

I doubt that she is spayed. Its not about the rabbit surviving a spay, its about the tiny, tiny size of the parts the vet has to remove when doing a spay. If the bun is very young, it’s not yet fully developed in the nether regions.

It is possible to littertrain an intact rabbit. My bun Yohio was young when I got him (approx 5 months). He basically littertrained himself. I just put some poop and a piece of peed-on paper in the box, he caught on instantly. He always peed in the box, the problem was that he peed very high up the wall behind the box when he did his business. He stopped doing that when he was neutered.

Young intact rabbits may very well learn to go in the box, but they are also apt to spray pee here and there as  signal to other buns. Some will do this more, and some will do it less.
