I am so happy.  Cotton is starting to let me pick him up without problems.   When he hears me saying    a brushing lets go get a brushing.    He calms right down and lets me pick him up like he used to do b4 treating his lip for 4 months.

That is such a good feeling.  I was worried he would always run n run.   I do a quick flip to see his lip.  When he flips back upright I dont’ push it.   When he gets on my shoulder again he digs n digs to show his displeasure.

HE has learned tho no more lip treatments.  Poor fellow.   Tho once a week or 2x a month I will have to take his scabs off.

He is playing with his grass tent.  OH he just grabbed his chew ball.  He has ignored that since I got it.  He is eating it now.  Great.

Speaking of brushing, I understand Princess Ruby is brushed with a Hairbuster brush.  Which of the models of the hairbusters do you use on her?  I have a lionhead who is also pretty bushy and I’d like to use the same tool to brush him with as you have. She looks beautiful!  Thanks!  …lashkay

When I ordered they only had the orange one.

I believe it is the ultra I use on Ruby.   You can also email them to ask them what their very first comb was.  Thats the one I got.  Glad  you asked for I did not know they had different combs out now.

Yes definitely the ultra has some space between the tines.  It works real well on Ruby.   First tho I comb with a differnt comb to get her tangles out starting at the ends of her hair working my way to her body.  Then I use the ultra hairbuster.  Then I use a slicker brush.

She was having a big shed and after a few days it wasn’t very noticable using these tools.   I say these hairbusters are excellent.

The orange one I have doesn’t work that great on Cotton except on his skirt.   So I will be ordering one for him too. I just dont’ know which to get cuz his hair is medium to me and the ultra should work on his but It doesnt’ do that great on his back and sides.  Or maybe he wasn’t shedding on his sides and back.

Many thanks!  I thought about your comments about your experiences brushing Princess Ruby and Cotton.  I think my lionhead, Buddie is not shedding on his back and sides but has a skirt like Cotton.  Since you said the Ultra doesn’t do for you that well on Cotton, I just ordered the Ultra T Hairbuster comb which is described as having longer and tighter tine space.  Do you think that will do the trick on Cotton?   I do also have a wire slicker that I have been hesitant to use on Buddie because I thought it would be rough on his skin.  But since you say you use it as a final brushing on Princess Ruby, I will have to start using that also.  There is so much hair that comes off in my brushing tools and we don’t want our little furballs to ingest it!  Many thanks again!

I’m so glad to hear Cotton Boo is becoming lovable/snuggable again! I know, it’s so terrible when they become distrustful and all you’re doing is trying to help them. At least with a dog or cat they’ve forgotten it within a day…but bunnies hold grudges. 0_o
Oh yeah, meant to get one of those hairbusters. >.< Does anyone still have the link to the site? I think I lost it.

I am going to order the one for shorthair so Cotton can get his sides and back done good.   The ultra T   I am not too sure cuz Cotton doesn’t seem to have a 2 layer coat with medium on sides n back and short underneath.

The regular ultra works great on Rubys long hair.  But her shorter hair needs something else too.   And yes those hairbusters do get the hair out no doubt.  I have never had to clean it either cuz rabbits are so clean.  Dogs are another matter entirely.

You know maybe we will order all the combs and try them all out lol.

Yes I am so happy Cotton is being calm about being picked up.    I need to trim nails and do anals but I am reluctant cuz I dont’ want him upset again.   I am doing them on the first once again. So we are gona wait a little longer cuz they aren’t uncomfortably long
