As I was assembling Bit’s condo tonight, I did notice some of the epoxy coating coming off whenever the scissors scraped against the bars when cutting secured cable ties. I was just wondering if anyone has had any trouble with the coating coming off when their buns chew on the bars and if it poses any threat?

From what I’ve read, epoxy coating is supposed to be relatively safe (for humans, anyway). But, you know. Just want to be certain.

Lol…it’s funny, though. God knows how many strange coatings and paints and plastics our bunnies have ingested over the years that we don’t even know about, or don’t pay much mind to!

My bunnies have chewed off a lot of the coating and they are still here. 🙂
