  Hello I just adopted another bunny from a rescue. I haven’t brought him home yet since he still needs to be neutered before I can take him. When I went to the rescue to see him one of the staff was talking to me about his cloudy eye. It’s a small cloud that doesn’t cover the whole lens. Obviously I will have to take him to the vet to get it checked it out. I’ve been doing some research on what it could possibly be such as cataracts, glaucoma, bacterial infection and such. however there’s really no telling until I get him to the vet. He seemed to navigate pretty well in his enclosure when I visited him so I’m hoping that with proper treatment it will go away. Anyways I just wanted to ask for some tips and advice from anyone that has experiencing dealing with this type of situation.you can kind of see the cloudy spot on the picture Please and thank you. Btw he doesn’t have a name yet feel free leave any suggestions he’s a brown and white holland lop. all my pets have a plant/flower themed name poppy, Oakley,ivy,tulip and clover.

  Is it JUST the cornea? Or is there something inside the eye as well? EC can cause cataracts, but it is more commonly associated with uveitis in young rabbits.
  
  How quickly did the cataract develop? Did it appear suddenly? Or did it appear over a long period of time? Or has it “always” been there? That might give the vet some clues as to what the underlying cause is. How old is he? There is a such thing as congenital cataracts in rabbits. It develops when they are young and remains as they grow older.

  The shelter found him as a stray and the staff said he may be around 3yrs. From what I saw it’s just covering part of the cornea .

  I called the shelter to get an update and their vet thinks it’s an ulcer they’re still not sure. He was just neutered so they’re going to keep him for 5 more days and monitor his recovery and eye.
