They are long now and i dont know what to use to clip them.  He lets me hold him upside down, but clipping may be a different story.  Should I use regular scissors?  Or toy size dog clippers.  He is a dwarf bunny after all.

        Thanks in advance!

I have two bunnies and one is better than the other at it…or should I say takes it better. I like to lay them on my lap with my feet on the floor and put my wrist almost over their chest, just so if they do get freaked out they are immobile anough for me to stop them. I have found that rubbing thier forehead helps calm them down when they get jumpy. The first time I clipped their nails was not too fun, lots of scratches, but nothing traumatic. I use nail clippers that I got at the pet store that are made for small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs, and hamsters. They look like scissors, are pretty small, and are small enough for small breeds like yours! Hope this helps!

Hi Mattman! ..the definately not only guy member here  Sorry, I couldn’t resist, I saw your other post and I know there are more than two of you, so you are truly not alone, Scooter is as well and so is Markusdark and Lagomorpheous and I am certain there are others as well.

As for trimming nails, you’ll definately want some regular nail clippers like you use on cats to cut your rabbit’s nails.  I have used the Pedi-Paws, and while a pretty neat tool to round off the sharp edges after cutting, I would not use it to “trim” the nails as nail trimmers are faster.  If the nails are dark and/or you can’t see the quick so you won’t cut it, use a flashlight (I use a mini-maglite) to shine throught he nail to see how far it is safe to cut.  What I do is take a marker and mark the spot, then put down the flashlight and cut, rather than juggle with a flashlight in one hand and clippers in the other.

Here is more instruction on clipping nails under BUNNY INFO: MONTHLY CARE:
