What can I use besides a clicker to train my Bun to come? I’d like to train Zelda to come when I call her. is there anything I can use from around the house? I read an article that said anything that makes a consitently sharp noise will work. also is it worth it to get the book?

you mean the clicker training book? if so YES! i am reading it now and it is good! if you don’t want to buy a clicker ( even though they are cheep) you can use a clicking pen i think, but i wouldn’t recomend that because it would be hard to hold.

I agree with Mocha, the book is very good and explains the fine details so well. I think if you can whistle, you could try doing a short whistle, altho the nice thing about the clicker is the sound is consistent. And clickers are only a couple bucks. You don’t need one of the fancy dog training ones.

Any jar lid with the pop up seal thingy will work – you can push on the lid to make a clicky sound that is consistent.

However, you can get a clicker from any pet store for $2 or so.

The book makes a good point in choosing clickers. You don’t want something very loud that will startle or frighten your bunny. They are afterall, not dogs or horses. You can make a clicker a little bit quieter also by putting it in your pocket and clicking it thru the fabric. Plus this way the association is thru sound and not thru sight. This is very important.

You can also make a clicking or kiss type noise with your mouth. That way you can adjust the volume yourself.

Yes, I have read that a special clicking noise you make yourself with your mouth allows you to have your “clicker” with you any time you need it.
I can’t make kissy noises because I already do that when I kiss her!

But you can click your tongue, like people do when they nick at horses, you know what I mean?

The clickers are so cheap that I have two in my apartment.
