        Hello,

I usually buy the Nature’s Miracle cage wipes and spray to clean out the rabbit’s cages but i have seen quite a few people use the “safe anywhere” clorox cleaning sprays and clorox disinfecting wipes… and was wondering if these can be used or is it a COMPLETE no-no??

        Thanks

I would use a 50/50 vinegar and water solution – easy and totally safe for buns.

I’m guessing bleach could be ok if you very thoroughly cleaned off the residue, but having used bleach I know that the residue can be very hard to get off. I would avoid it for any animal related cleaning because animals are known to lick surfaces. Also, the fumes from bleach aren’t good for anybody to be inhaling, especially animals close to the ground.

I use a vinegar/water mixture in a spray bottle. It works wonders especially for bunny urine on carpet. The vinegar eats it right up.

Adding my support for white vinegar. The smell disappears quickly and it’s really cheap and all natural.

i would have to aggree with the vinegar…i also have noticed if my buns happen to pee on the carpet, my dogs…both of them and both of my cats will pee there too….its gross and extremely frustrating but vinegar cleans it right up with no one remarking…dogs pee A LOT more then a bun! lol and it is soooo much cheaper then anything else! bonus its 100% safe for a ll critters!
