I was just cleaning Porky’s condo, and had cleaned everything but the left hand side of his middle level.  Porky had been going for a hop around the den while I was doing this, but decided to go back in and lie down right in the one area I hadn’t cleaned yet.  I was wondering if this was more than just coincidence.  It does seem like it is one of his favorite spots to stretch out in, but I wonder if it was also his way of saying “please leave me one dirty untouched spot.”

When you clean your bunny’s (bunnies’) home, do you clean out the whole thing top to bottom, or do you do it section by section leaving parts dirty for a day or two?  Do you notice if your bunny (bunnies) seems to have any preference for leaving some parts untouched?

My two have a pet store cage that contains the litter boxes and hay – I sweep it out, wipe down with vinegar, and clean the litter boxes. They seem to like when it’s clean since they always have to run in there and eat some hay.

The rest of their pen has a rug, so cleaning just means taking everything out and vacuuming. They don’t really mind and just stay away while I’m running the vacuum, then check out where I’ve moved everything to when I’m done.

I figure if they like it dirty, they’ll make it dirty fast enough. Haha. Within minutes of cleaning they usually pull hay out of the hay racks and somehow get it all over the rug.
