Ok-we’re back from the vet (sorry I’m at work and I couldn’t post from work yesterday or this morning!!! Now its working-thank goodness-I thought I’d have to work at wrok
)
He had a full exam-dental, weight, temperature (poor guy!) and she couldn’t find anything really wrong-granted it is just a small amount of runniness to his nose. But he’s six and I don’t mind being paranoid. Checked lungs and they are not congested, bloodwork and culture waiting on but she doesn’t think anything is wrong-what is bizarre is the runny nose is the nostril that would drain his eye that’s been removed. Since their is no eye there (and it’s not sinus because that’d be both nostrils) she thinks the ducts that would go from the eye to nose may be irritated-seasonal or dusty hay. We’ll see what the results are -and she gave me her cell if it does worsen but she thinks he’s really healthy and just has a little irritation. Noot came with him to the vet of course and she gave him a once over as well-proclaiming him “Very cute” (which is a diagnosis I like!)
So I knew it was a ‘just in case’ visit, borderline paranoia; But I’m glad to have her opinion that things are good and we’ll wait for results and see if there is anything to be worried about. She’d like to see him, if it is nothing, in a couple of weeks if it’s still running and hasn’t worsened or gone away to do some skull xrays to see what it looks like just in case.
