Choking, sneezing

My boy Fenty choked on his pallets yesterday by eating too fast. He was running around the house with his head up, greenish stuff was coming out of his nose then he went back to normal after 1-3 minutes. I took him to the vet after and apparently they said he was ok, his lung was clear and everything else was normal. I took him home, he seem a bit off, just wanted to sit in one corner. I assumed that he was just stressed because of what happened. I then feed him fresh coriander, i ate normally.

The next morning, when i came into his room, he didn’t get excited to see me which he always does. I got super worried. I gave him his greens, he ate normally and went back to the corner.

When i come home from work which is 8 hours after. He seems fine, eating and drinking normally. But… he sneezes here and there, and a tinyyy bit of a runny nose, not as active as he normally is. I don’t know what’s wrong with him? I don’t know if he’s ok or he’s still recovering from yesterday. I know i might have to take him to the vet again real soon.

He’s still eating and drinking normally which is good.

You could perhaps call the vet that saw him after his choking-episode and describe his symptoms. They might want to prescribe some just-in-case antibiotics. Sometimes the tiniest bit of food lodged in the wrong place can give rise to inflammation and pave the way for an infection. An anti-inflammatory pain killer (Metacam) could perhaps be good too.

Feeding pellets scattered on a surface can help mitigate choking because eating will be slower.
