I’m currently bonding a trio, two of which I got together and are already bonded 3 month old girls. I already own a rescue mini rex(who has to be over three years minimum because that’s how long I’ve had her). I’ve been keeping their cages next to each other and there’s absolutely no sign of aggression between them yet, but when I let my mini rex out on her own she likes to rub her face/chin all over the other cage. I understand this is a claiming behavior, but she’s also trying to get inside on occasion. Her and one of the younger ones even sit together with the cage between them and touch noses or paws and don’t get aggresive when it’s an accident. Honestly, she’s crazy obsessed with being by their cage. So, my question is, is this just a claiming act or something more? Is she claiming the cage or the babies? I don’t even know if they’re young enough for her to even try that..

Hi bunnymum! You’re 3 month old buns aren’t actually bonded. They should be kept separate until after 1-2 months after they have been fixed. Once they hit puberty they can get into a nasty fight and pretty quickly too. Baby buns can get along and be friendly, but when they hit puberty it can all go out the window. If your older one is fixed she could be acting hormonally due to the unfixed buns nearby. But at this stage, they all need to remain separated until all have been fixed.
