Bunnies chew, it’s not something that spaying helps. But she should be spayed because 65% of unfixed females develop reproductive cancers by the age of 4 and will need to have an emergency spay if the cancer doesn’t kill them. To prevent chewing of the baseboards you can put NIC grids along them or baby gates or anything similar to that around them to protect them from being chewed.

Thank you so much so you don’t think the bitter apple spry will work

I have two very insistent chewers, and bitter apple spray doesn’t deter them in the slightest. Neither does the pile of toys in their cages.

Bitter apple doesn’t really work for bunnies (I saw some amazon reviews saying their bunny loved the stuff!), but Lemon essential oil has been recommended on this site and might work for you. It sort of worked for mine… but only for about a day. I’ve also heard of people rubbing ivory soap on baseboards? But can’t remember where I heard that or vouch for it’s safety!

There are some baseboard solutions in the bunny proofing section. NIC cubes are one option, or you might also use plexiglass or a cheaper piece of safe wood (like untreated pine) over top of the boards.
