I recently adopted a New Zealand White rabbit named Steve . I provide him with hay 24/7 and lots of veggies , and some pellets a day, but he still likes to eat EVERYTHING . I’ve been trying to find toys that he can chew so he doesn’t eat anything that isn’t bunny friendly . I have tried giving him paper towel tubes , but he demolishes them in 5 minutes , not even chew but he actually swallows them. I bought wooden block toys from the pet store that he likes to chew on, but he swallows them too! Are the wooden toys made for rabbits okay for him to eat? Do you have any other suggestions on what to give him to chew that is also safe for him to ingest? Thanks!

Yes, wood toys that are made for rabbits are safe to eat!

Other safe things that he might like are:
          – dried palm fronds (if they are clean)
          – bamboo (the leaves and sticks) – mine looove the fresh green shoots
          – willow twigs, branches and leaves
          – apple and pear branches twigs and leaves

Cardboard boxes (you can cut a few holes in the sides, then stuff it with brown paper for him to burrow in!), and any cardboard or paper that doesn’t have a glossy coating is fine. Mine love to demolish cardboard cat scratchers!
Phone books and newspapers (the non-color pages)

Unpeeled willow toys have always been a fave for all my buns. And safe to eat.
