So I recently moved into a larger space in my house and have brought my babies with me!  They have always been free roam the difference is that they were free roam upstairs and were used to carpeting. Since moving into the basement, the floor is ceramic tile based. I have set it up to maximize the space for them and they are loving it! Initially I thought that they may not like the tile so I bought a couple of extra rugs but they seem to have adjusted extremely well!  They have a lot more space but can go upstairs if they want but I think they love their space so much they don’t feel the need to.

I’ll attach some photos below. As you can see, I have bunny proofed where possible, like the cord for the treadmill. Eventually I do want to remove the cage where their hay and litter box is to be opened up more and possible change their water bottles to water bowls.  Does anyone else use water bowls for their rabbits instead of the bottles?

The area where the cage is has puzzle pieces that I purchased from Walmart and they love it! Easy to clean and keeps the ground less cold.

The large piece of cardboard is their chew toy galore and usually ends up on the other end of the room lol I do plan on getting other chew toys for them to incorporate into the space, a cardboard tunnel for example.

What does your bunny space look like? I’d love to see

Wow! What a beautiful and fun-looking space for your bunnies! I still can’t get over how cute they are.
I use water bowls for my bunnies. Most rabbits adapt quickly and actually prefer the water bowls–it is a more natural way for them to drink. Easier to clean too.

Aw thank you!  They definitely seem to prefer this space as opposed to their previous space. I was thinking I might try the water bowls out for that reason as well! Do you find that they tip them over? I have seen some people use bowls that sit within a stand to prevent it from spilling over. That may just be the solution for me.

Or try heavy ceramic dog bowls. Too heavy for bunnies to tip up
