I feel like changing my rabbit cage.Currently now it’s a 8 times my size of my rabbit normal cage with nothing special and yellow in colour.I feel like changing to a small cage which is nice or maybe build a rabbit condo. Will he not use the litter box anymore and scared of me??

If he is going to be stuck in the cage for long periods of time, don’t get a smaller one. Most store bought cages are nowhere near big enough for a bunny to stay in for long periods of time. Your bunny may mark a new cage, but as long as you keep a litter box in the cage, and keep putting any stray poops in it, he should still use it fine. As to being scared of you… depends on the bunny. If he is already scared, then he will probably still be scared, if he isn’t then he likely won’t be.

I agree with MB, don’t go smaller! If you want to change to a new cage, I’m sure your bun would appreciate a bigger one because all buns love space to stretch out and hop around.

Sticking with the larger cage is better for your bunny because, even if you have to be away for hours like at work, bunny can still get some exercise and be less bored with more space. Bunnies only stop using a litter box if they are too dirty (the litter box), don’t like a certain litter, or are ill. They are clean by nature and easily trained because they like a litter box.

Let your bunny out and lie still on the floor while he comes over to you. He will learn to trust you gradually.
