        Hello again

We had a very litter trained boy before but since he has been neutered (3 weeks ago) there has been pooing everywhere and he has even wee’d!!  We thought it might be the new rug we bought for him, but we have since removed it to see if we can have him out when we have visitors. We had visitors stay  the other week and he was as good as gold, but how he is at the moment I don’t think we can let him out while they are here.  Which will be very hard as I’m sure people are only visiting to see our little boy rather than us!!

Can neutering mess them up a bit? do we have to wait for his hormones to settle down at all?

We now have 2 litter trays (he only needed the one in his cage before) we have moved the new litter tray to where seems to be his new ‘place’ but no luck yet  he only has our living room with his cage in the same room and we would rather not confine him to his cage.

        Please help! xx

Sometimes the confinement is needed for a short while to re-train. What Binky Bunny calls a “refresher course”. From pics of his cage you posted before – he’ll have ample room to get exercise. Don’t feel too badly, once you do this, he’ll be able to have lots more time free range. It may only take him 3 days, a week etc. My guess is as his body is going through some changes, this has likely caused the relapse.

Yup that’s a lot of change for a bunny-neutering, trip to the vet, maybe meds given by ‘evil mama’ afterwards, visitors etc. Change can mess up their litter habits by upsetting them enough that they purposely wee on the floor-or just makeing them feel less confident about their territory.
What Jers said about retraining is perfect-I’d start with that
