So is this something I should worry about?

During a typical day, Merry would eat her pellets and her veggies, then hop onto the second floor of her mini haven, sleep for a while, then hop down and eat, run to the litter box, back to the haven, etc. etc.

I’ve been watching the merrycam the last few days and have noticed that she’s not spending the time in her mini haven anymore, but is in the room with the litter box (where her xpen is – since she got another room she’s basically ignored the pen except for bathroom breaks).  I don’t know what she’s doing in there (no camera  yet!) but I did catch her a couple of times this morning just sitting in the back.

I know she’s shedding and cranky, but is this change of behavior something that should concern me?

I wouldn’t be too concerned, I would just watch her. Maybe she’s decided it’s warmer or cooler or whatever by the pen and now prefers it. As long as she’s still eating and pooping I would let it go and monitor her.

Ahh, never thought about temperature differences… that makes sense. I guess this just means I need to stop being lazy and get that merrycam set up in the other room!

It’s also possible she’s decided she wants a change. Dutchess used to sit most of the time under an end table with some toys, not she sits between two of the computer spindles so she can be near me. I reach down and pet her frequently, so that is probably why she’s made the change ^_^ Could be she just wants to try out a new spot.
