I know cat litter is not good for buns but is it ok if they can’t reach it?

I made thier litter box so it has cage wire 2 inches above the bottom so poop falls through and they never get urine on their feet.. They can’t reach it to dig or eat it, so do you think that is ok?

What kind of litter are you using? There are certain kinds of cat litter that are perfectly fine for bunnies, like Yesterday’s News and Feline Pine. Just make sure that there’s no clumping chemicals or anything of the sort.

No dusty litter ether. even if they can’t reach it it could cause respiratory issues.
