well i finnaly brought our carrier out of the closet b/c we are going to the vet. but cookie really never goes any where so i barely use it. i only drive him like to the pet store thats like 5 min away. but going to the vet is like 35 minutes. so i don’t really know what to do with the peeing and pooping in the carrier thing. i was thinking about putting a towel under but he would play with it and eat it up. so should i like bring paper towels and wipe the pee and poopies or what? i know this sound like a stupid quetion. but i seriously don’t know what to do. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Best thing that has worked for us was to fold up newspaper and layer the bottom of the cage with it and then place a large handtowel or normal bathtowel folded on top. My buns play and scrunch up the towel as well but the newspaper can catch what the towel doesnt. And if you put a good layer in there Cookie may dig and mess with it and stay occupied on the drive to the vets office.

I usually bring extra clean towels and a plastic bag to put the "ripe" one in for long trips.

my carrier is sorta large enough to put in the litter box so i put in the litterbox as well and it only occupies half the carrier. i second the news paper and towel. the towel helps alot and i think u can leave some hay with them as well. i even somehow put my water bottle for them.

I use "pee pee pads".  They are plastic backed cloth-like thingys, so if they get peed on, it doesn’t make a big mess…its contained on the pad.  I LOVE these things.  I use them under my bunny cages and under my cats litterboxes, that way if I have any "over-peeing" it gets on the pad.  I can throw the pads out if they get too gross or when they get gross!

None of my buns chew on the plastic of the wee wee pads so I don’t have any issues w/ that.  At pet stores they are in the dog section.  PS I have a small mammal carrier.  It reminds me of a picnic basket.  I flip open the lid and put them inside.  Its a great carrier for a bunny.  I originally used it for my cats.
