I figured this was some form of habitat.  I was looking online for a basket for my mom to put her Frenchie in for bike rides and noticed on a review that someone rides their bike with their dwarf rabbit in the carrier!  I thought, now thats a pretty cute idea.  I like to take my bun out for picnics to this nice area (pesticide free and very clean), and it doesnt take long to get there by bicycle, so my question is before I go spending money on something like that, what are your thoughts on a bicycle pet carrier?  If all else fails, I dont mind packing her up and driving her to my spot.

Its like an actual carrier with a mesh top that zips open and closed and all enclosed tough nylon sides.

Well, I know some people use those as bunny stressors for bonding, so I personally don’t think I’d use one just for kicks. Where does it go? What happens if you crash your bike?

It goes on the handlebars of the bike. I did think of the bike crashing, but my bike path is a neighborhood area with nice roads and drivers are a rarity. Would it be stressful for a bunny to be riding around in a carrier outside than just sitting in a car? I just want to pick the less stressful way to get there I guess.

Car is less stressful. Wouldn’t have to deal with the smells outside as long, the motion is way different, and less chance of injury.

I guess I should just follow my instinct and others’… if I have second thoughts on something then I might regret buying it in the end (thats what I always tell my sister when she is buying clothes hehe). I dont want to spend 40 bucks on something that Tipsy will hate.

I think carrying a large rabbit on a bike would be difficult – a small dwarf would be okay but not a big rabbit. I can barely carry my big buns in their carriers to the car!

i got the idea from my sister… she actually got her big fat frenchie to sit in a regular bicycle basket!! I couldnt believe it! Then my other sister tugs her frenchie and her cattledog in a trailer behind her hahaha oh I love my family.

Is the Frenchie a French Bulldog? At least your family likes having their pets around :~)
