Can’t see Ollie’s testicles?

Hi again! So I have a question thats kind of dumb, but does anyone know if a male rabbit’s testicles are supposed to be visible when they drop? I tried googling this question but I can’t find a good answer. Ollie is almost 6 months old now and I am scheduling a neuter soon but I can’t really see anything down there.. its not like he lets me pick him up to see properly but from what I can see there no sign of balls. I would take him to the vet to make sure but its $80 just for a consult so I’d rather just check with you guys before I do anything. I just don’t want to take him on the neuter day to find out he’s a girl!

They should be visible when you pick him up and sometimes when they lie down. My bunny didn’t drop until 8 months so Ollie still has time. Has Ollie shown any signs of hormonal behavior?

Hi Dasher! When he lets me pick him up he doesn’t let me see his belly area so I’m not sure but there’s nothing there from what I can tell. I can’t see anything when he lays. I’m not sure about the signs, he’s still not perfect with the litter box but he’s acting the same as usual, energetic and sweet as always. I do notice he bites my friends fingers but not me

They can hide them, drawing them back up into the abdomen.

You might be able to a check without handling him. Does he have a pen or cage? If you can get him to stand for a treat while he leans front paws against pen/cage, you could get a bit of a look down there. They should be to the side and just slightly above genital area, not below.

It’s possible his testicles aren’t palpable (?) yet? I’m unsure of the physics, but Wick’s testicles didn’t drop until 8 months, and it was very obvious because I could see them clear as day. His vet gives him a physical exam every appointment and he had one about a week prior to my noticing them and she hadn’t felt anything, so it may not be “time”. I felt it because I picked him up as usual and felt something on my finger that usually wasn’t there.
