Dustor the Shy-Guy sleeps/lounges in his all day. Petie the Explorer hops in/hops out/hops in/hops out of his. Each bunny’s is lasting and lasting and lasting….and will for a long while no doubt. These thick-walled all-grass cubes are safe to chew and eat toys/hidey-huts. The entranceholes are huge – one guy’s 12 lb. cat went in it. One entrance is a charming big arched doorway and there is a large hole on the end. I would think most larger bunnies, maybe even a flemmie could slither through . It comes flat, you open it up and fold upward the 2 end walls and it’s up and ready! Flat roof and floor, too, all made of thick rugged panels of dried grass. They’re great with the Maze Haven and Mini-Haven complexes, even can be positioned door-to-door. Binkybunny, please carry these! Here’s the link:

I’d post pictures of Dustor and Petie as ‘tenants’, but I haven’t yet got a Photoshop software to scan pictures into my new laptop. Dustor sleeps inside by day, right next to the arched doorway in the evening, and on the roof by night!
I was contemplating getting one at some point for my buns, but haven’t yet as I didn’t know if they would fit. But if your balls of fluff will, I know my bitty babies will! lol
lol I guess 2 of your itty-bitties could go through at the same time and all three nestle inside!
I wasn’t able to size the image before, & it’s a bit angled, but I got a pic of Dustor in his grass cube. To give an idea of size, the entrances are huge, and so is the cube. Dustor is a 9-mo.-old lionhead. I’ll try to take some pics of Petie in his cube, tomorrow.
“..sitting here.in my little grass shack, where the palm trees sway…”
That looks so amazing! I bet my bunnies would love that! Do they destroy it much? It looks pretty sturdy to be sat on top of.
mrmac, sorry for the delay getting back, had typed a reply to your question only to lose it! My buns don’t destroy them much at all, and even less recently. But then, they have so much hay, pellets, greens etc to devour, guess that satisfies most of their chewing urges. Occasionally one or both of my buns I’ll hear picking at it. I assume you read the reviews on amazon? That would give a more rounded report of how much several Yobunnies are chewing it, I think., As, one owner said his bunnies devoured a lot of the floor. Nothing like that from my buns – so far! I’m waiting to hear what Lintini will have to say about the one she bought. I think Dustor feels secure in his, spends a lot of time in it or on it. Petie likes to zoom in and out of the holes. You’re right, the roof and the whole structure is pretty sturdy. For $10+, I think it’s a worthy investment. I appreciate all your enthusiasm and endorsement for it. Thanks!
I have that one. I bought it off Drs foster and smith. The pictures were a lot better than the ones on amazon. The ones on amazon look like it wouldn’t fit my bunny!!
Chacha loves her hidey hut ! she outgrew a hut i gave her a long time ago. She tried getting into the smaller one and got stuck lol
mrmac, the hidey hut is made of thick (not sure if this is the right word) grass mat. it seems it would last a lot longer than grass mats lol.
I just got the one off Amazon today! ITS HUGE!!! It’s getting tested out right now and they love it! It is sturdy to sit on too. My bunnies have a lot of willow chews, I have the tent and a huge cat bed in a willow basket so I don’t know how into destroying this house they will be since they have so much to “chew-se” from, haha! I’ll keep you updated on the bunstruction of it – so far so good!
Sounds like I know what to get my 3 for Christmas
I think all of em could fit in it at the same time lol.
child inspection

it came in a nice sized big box so i knew it would fit my bunny, lol. i’m glad it does. i’ve seen her chew some of it. i’m gonna laugh the minute she jumps onto it ![]()
monkey its on sale on drsfostersandsmith for 10.99
they have flat rate shipping no matter how much you spend ![]()
Yay, Lintini! “…so much to chew-se from! LOL love it!
Your pics are cute, Brittany, the hidey-house pic and especially, that shot of your bun in the Santa hat! So precious! Under what do you search to find the grass house at drs foster & smith?
Amazon.com gave me free shipping on it, and it was 10.99 too
wow special cyber monday shopper? lol hehee
i am a frequent shopper of drs foster and smith
love theier stuff! they always have discounts on grass mats!
Agreed!! Thanks for the suggestion…my little Blu LOVES his! I didn’t get one for Oreo because she doesn’t seem to like laying on grass mats, etc..but Blu loves to and he loves hiding from us..haha.

Squeee! That pix of Blu in the hut is adorable!
Thanks RabbitPam! How about this one?? he’s so sweet. when he’s sleeping!! haha

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Don’t wake him while he’s being cute. ![]()
I just got one of these for Bobby and so far, I have not seen him use it. I’ve recently allowed him free roam of the house so I think he’s just a little confused.
Really Sarita?
Chacha doesn’t go inside of it either when I let her out to play. She likes to sleep in it during the day. I’ve seen her jump onto it.
Blu loves everything about it….Sleeps in it all day…stands on top when he wants to be seen…and chews on the sides when he feels like working hard. I hope he doesn’t chew much more or he won’t be stable enough standing on top!
I want a cool hide-out so bad for my four, but things are very peaceful now and I am not about to introduce something new to covet.
Petzy, you need to buy four of everything when you try something new. Like a set of tires. ![]()
I ordered one from Drs Foster and Smith. It was the same price as Amazon, and I also got some hay and other things for her
It should come by Friday or Saturday, so I can’t wait! She’s totally destroyed the Binky Bunny twig house I have for her ![]()
I have to say mine didn’t last very long and has now turned into grass mats.

Randi, how can I get a wall-sized poster of your third pic – so doggone cute! To whom do we have the pleasure of gazing?
I’d suggest reinforcing the “seams” tightly with sisal string if you’re of a mind to – also okay if they nibble it – & easily accomplished with a darning needle or pulled apart paperclip…
Thank you! She is my first rabbit, Noelle. I adopted her one week ago. I’m already smitten. <3
I bought this one from Tisol, http://www.amazon.com/Peters-RGP-556-Woven-Grass-Cave/dp/B0027JDI0Q/ref=pd_sim_k_30
It doesn’t look as comfortable as the one you suggested but Thumper loves it! She chews/naps/chews/naps.
OMG SHE IS SO CUTE!
Noelle is ADORABLE. I wish they had rabbit rescues by me
It seems they’re all in the midwest and there’s no rescues for South NJ ;(
And btw, Smokey LOVES her new hut
And the papaya I got her
Thanks Drs. Fosters!

Is Acto in South NJ? Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue fairly recently moved from Florida to Acto NJ.
There’s a thread about it in the Rabbit Rescue sub forum. Their webby is littlemiraclesrr.org

I should line up a little subdivision of hidey-huts then. I think I see now why rabbit warrens have so many tires –I mean tunnels!![]()
Nearly lost Rabz the other night
she got a cat tunnel for Xmas, she’s always loved them but we didn’t realize it was double lined and she chewed through the inside layer while we were asleep and got stuck inside. We woke up to a hell of a commotion, we could see the tunnel moving awkwardly, but couldn’t find her. So scary, thought she had broken her back but then we realised she was right inside, we cut her out and now she’s fine. Beware double lined toys. She gave us such a scare!!!
Alas, Lintini, Petie’s grass house is just mats now, like yours. Dustor is leaving the seams of his alone and it’s still up and he still sleeps in it (and on the roof) religiously, however. They wouldn’t be expensive to replace, so far.
Well Bobby has finally decided that he likes this hut – he chews it and I’ve seen him get in it – to get away from me…
It’s good for a small rabbit but my big buns wouldn’t be able to get their head in it.
Awwww, don’t look at it as he’s going in his hidey hut to get away from you…look at it he’s just going in the hut to get away from it all. I’m glad at least Bobby takes to the hut. It’s a challenge finding huts with holes made big enough for the larger rabbits to enter. You would almost have to cut them yourself to make them bigger.
I just ordered another one for Velvet since I’m spoiling her rotten as she gets better. Amazon has them for 8.99 now. And it’s awesome if they do destroy the twine…well they make lovely grass mats ![]()
I have that one too! I think “Peter rabbit” brand off amazon $6. Franz likes to jump on it!
