Can't find where she's peeing

  Yesterday I finally finished my NIC mansion for Layla, and she loves it. The one issue I’m running into is that, at the moment, I can’t afford coroplast, so to make the bottom I used cardboard. In the lower left hand corner of the cage is where Layla usually goes to the bathroom. I only have a small corner litter box which is towards the front, and towards the back I placed a towel. I checked this morning and there are no wet marks, or pee stains anywhere on the cardboard, except where she peed last night, and yet the floor around that area of the cage was covered in a puddle of pee. I cleaned it up with paper towels and put the towels in her litter box to hopefully give her an idea that that is where she’s supposed to go. This is the same issue I was having last night before I put in the towel… it seems to be dripping off the cardboard on to the floor, but for the life of me I can’t figure out where. There are no wet marks or stains!
  
  Could it be she’s going in her litter box and sprays slightly high and it drips off the litterbox?
  
  I can’t figure it out for the life of me. Any help would really be appreciated.

  I’d have to see it, but I know Honey sometimes sits in the low side of her litter box, leans right up against the side of her cage a pees out of the grated sides.

  rabbits seem to have perfected being able to pee straight back away from themselves- although they probably do this to keep the urine away from the tail and furry feet- I am also convinced they know it makes more of a mess for their humans slaves.

  i posted about this a bit in your other thread, i suggest a bigger cat box, possibly two, one for each of her fav corners.

  They also sell ‘splash’ guards at some pet stores if you just want to upgrade your litter box.

  Well, for now I have temporarily resolved the issue by putting a plastic trash bag on the floor underneath the cage, and around the area. Its flat so she shouldn’t be able to get to it through the cage, and it’ll keep any stray bunny leavings off of the linoleum floor. Its not great, but itll do the trick til I can get a more suitible base
