I walked in my room a few minutes ago to charge my phone. As I reached into a her excercises pen I petted her for a few. As I walked closer to the end of her pen I saw her bed filled with urine but with a more blood color type. She hasnt been spayed yet she is about 4 months. I have found somewhere to get her  spayed her,  but because of the caronavirus I thought I could wait on it for a bit. But I am worried that she has urine cancer and  that she may  not have alot of time left. I dont know what to do, I dont want things to get worse pls help!!

Hi there, don’t panic just yet!

If she is only 4 months old it is unlikely to be cancer (usually it starts showing up around 4 years old). To me that photo does not look like blood. Rabbit urine can be dark in color sometimes due to the diet, blood usually looks like opaque droplets of blood within the urine, rather than uniformly darker. But maybe I’m not seeing it correctly?

It’s pretty common for buns to pee on soft fluffy things, but spaying might help. You might end up needing to take away the fluffy bed until she’s spayed.

You can try filling her litter box with just hay for now to get a better view of her pee in the bottom of the box.

Thank you for replying! She hasnt shown any signs of pain, so I am pretty sure  she is doing well. I will try the method with the hay to keep a eye of her pee just in case. Also I will move the bed out her exercise  pen until she gets spayed to prevent pee  from getting on it. I really appreciate your comment. Again  thank you so much:)

            Stay safe

            God bless😇

Looks like normal pee to me. I agree with Dana. 🙂

I agree with the above. It looks pretty normal in shade. My Wick pees exclusively in bright orange, which was very scary at first.

I believe an easy test you can do to detect blood is put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (usually in first aid kits) on the pee spot, and if it bubbles, there’s blood.
