i was wondering if you could use the furbuster for rabbits? Because we have one for our cats and it works great so i was wondering if you can use it for bunny.

This is what it looks like.

I don’t see why not. I’ve used the Furminator on mine, though I actually prefer the Hairbuster comb and a slicker brush. But if you already have one, give it a go and see how it work. I’ve found that different brushes work for different bunnies – mine are both lops, but the same brush doesn’t work equally well for both.

yeah i might end up getting the hair buster when i have some extra money but for now i am going to try this. We have this brush we got at walmart for our cat that looks like a slicker brush but it isn’t that brand is there a difference?

Slicker isn’t a brand, it’s just any type of brush that looks like this:

I’ve actually used the Furbuster on Zeus, and it does an ok job.  I still think tugging the loose hair out by hand is the best way though!

I have the knock off one and I used it on mine. I just don’t press very hard of course cause I don’t want to scratch their skin, but it works well.

I have that type of slicker brush too (actually, that exact one) with the little balls on the tip. It’s really the same as the picture I posted, just a gentler version (and they market it as “slicker brush” on the packaging ). Unfortunately, it doesn’t work on my rabbits’ fur at all, so I don’t use it anymore. The slicker brushes in general don’t work on Otto, but the standard type ones (without the gentle tips, like the one I posted) work on Hannah pretty well.

I have a furminator and I do use it around gizmo’s bum but i keep my hand as a guide so i don’t get her skin! I tried it on dudley’s coat and it just goes through with nothing! I’m jealous of his shiny silky coat!
