We don’t have any wire cube cages from where I am and ordering online is a no go since the prices will be charge triple once it reaches my county’s customs. Stupid customs.

Can you guys share some ideas how to make a bunny cage?

We only have this Plastic cubes thing not the wire cubes. If i use this I can’t see what my bunny is doing

I know your pain. Where I am from, they use to sell the wired cubes a few year ago, but all of a sudden when I needed them most, they discontinued them =( It might be rather expensive but you could make a cage out of plexie glass and wood. http://static.saveafluff.co.uk/uploads/gallery/p16qeld8qo1uor1aa17ln1gsesn94.jpg

Or you could try a tall dog fence or an ex-pen

I would not go with plastic cubes, Just for starters, they would have very poor air flow.

I can’t give specifics without know what is available to you, so I would suggest go shopping with an open mind to possibilities. Wire enclosure meant for dogs often work. Other types of wire shelving that might be available, like the industrial kitchen ones. Wire grids meant for use in retail spaces for hanging merchandise. Etc.

Worst comes to worst, do it the old way. Wood frame with chicken wire.

Oh wow thank you so much for those links emm_renn the bunny cages look adorable! I want to make one as well.

Eepster yup that’s why I asked for some help. I hate those plastic cubes they look okay, but I worry about my bunny because I can’t see her inside. My bunny is temporarily raking over my room as her bunny room lols. I still want my bunny to have a cage just incase I need to go to work. Thanks for those suggestions. I think I’ll hunt for alternatives on the weekend.

Do you live in the US? If so:

You can get those grids at Walmart (if your store doesn’t carry them, you can buy online and ship free to store) or at Sears! I have used them for years and I just attach with zip ties. I have also picked some up at thrift stores.

                Some other cheap housing options:

                – Use a dog crate (probably would want an x-pen to make it bigger.

                – Repurpose some old furniture (I love this idea. You would have to be careful to make it large enough, unless your bunny is a house bunny looking for a hangout). You can use cribs, bunkbeds, dressers, or cupboards.

                – Cupboard: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/65935582020917917/

This is cheaper than you may think. You can often get thrift furniture or free throw-outs and just remove inside door panel and add chicken wire

                – Crib: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/163325923962911440/ Cover the top with cheap lumber or pallet boards

                – Bunk bed: this is from a BB post: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tab…fault.aspx
