        Hello

I have a rabbit that I’ve had for 3 years. when he was a baby I didn’t know what I was doing, and he was living in a cage that was too small for the first year I had him. I have learned more and more things about rabbits and got him a bigger cage but it was still to small.

I got him a bigger cage and I am making a huge rabbit condo for him and a friend. But because he was in small cages for a while he wasn’t as active and playful as he was when he was little.

He is slowly learning that he can run and play now but he rarely does.

I’m worried that he’s now getting enough exercise. Can you in anyway get a rabbit to become more active?

Learning to get him to come to you via treats can do that. Also giving him pellets in a ball helps too. Generally you need to be more active to get him to be.

My rabbits love roaming, the bigger the territory the better. Put in some interesting toys, tubes, boxes are great. If it helps, rabbits are crepsecular, most active at dawn/dusk. Take them out to play early morning or evening.

It’s funny. I found myself sounding *exactly* like my giggling toddler the other day… I even surprised myself. I didn’t know I could still laugh like that, beyond the age of 5!

What was I doing? Egging fluffykins on

He had been running around like a headless chicken then stopped. So, I went over, pet him once on the floor then jumped up from my crouching position and went towards him giggling “guchi guchi guchi.” He’d binky right under my hand then run SO FAST towards me I’d fall back in hysterics. Then he’d run 30cm away from me and turn *so fast* and stare intently at me. Waiting for my “guchi guchi” after which he’d continue the shenanigans.

I think he liked running at me and me pretending to fall backwards away from him

Oh and with the “guchi guchi” as I’d be ‘monster hand – ing’ towards him he’d binky just before I got to touch him such fun!

I have no idea if I’ve made any sense, it’s hard to describe the crazy things we bunny parents do to interact with our little ones haha..
