So recently I’ve been asking around the forums to get some advice on bonding my 2 year old Toki with a potential friend. When I adopted him he was meant to live alone, but they said I could bond him “eventually” – whatever that meant.
So I called them a few minutes ago and they told me that the reason Toki was a lone bun is that he was aggressive. The rabbitry lady said she had tried him with “about 10” other rabbits and that he tended to attack them. But the fact that the centre tried him with as many as 10 different rabbits makes me think that he is not extremely or persistently aggressive. I feel like if he was particularly vicious, they would have stopped bonding him after 5 or so rabbits. Maybe.
Does Toki’s badboy streak mean that he could never be successfully bonded? Would it just be pointless or even cruel to expose him to potential friends? Does anyone here have aggressive bunnies who they have successfully bonded with another? Is there a special way I could introduce a friend to him slowly? Any advice would be helpful
