you know that is a very very good question  I saw some collars for ferrets with bells on them I made some of elastic with fabric over it for my buns. then I got scared if they got caught up in something and choked to death cuz they like to jump and explore so I never put them on the buns. maybe a cat breakaway collar  tho personally I would not put anything on their necks for long term wear.  I do put a rabbit harness on mine when I take him somewhere for his safety if he jumps down or I put him down and he tries to run off he can’t go far. as for jumping down I hold him good to be safe but you never know. hopefully someone with more knowledge can really answer your question better than I can. but this is just my experience. and opinion

I put a red ribbon from a Laura Secord chocolate box on Smile and Kibou when I was doing a photoshoot with them, but as soon as I was finished I took it off. I never left them unsupervised with it on.

yeah, i would not do it longer than a few minutes for some pics or something (supervised).  same thing with clothes (shirts or dresses).  rabbits can overheat very very easily so clothing is not a good idea.  a ribbon could get tangled around the neck, or they could chew it off and then try to eat it.

So cute! lion-lop!!!  I wanted to put a bow on Picco for his photo shoot, but wasn’t sure I could get him to hold still long enough..he did good otherwise and in case you missed his easter photo shoot here are some pics

Probably not the best pictures for discouraging buying bunnies for Easter, but it’s mostly for cards for my family and such

Hi Steph, I agree, ribbons should be reserved for a few supervised moments for a quick candid shot, but should not remain on them for any length of time. They can be chewed on and ingested and do pose a hazard if they get caught on something and choke them.

notjulesverne – Those are some great shots and I LOVE the last one where you got “The BUTT.” LOL

yes – i’d agree – that minute while you’re taking the photo is ok – but i’d really worry about possible strangulation or choking especially.

what super cute pics of Picco!
