Neither animal seemed aggressive toward the other, just curious. I took a video of my bunny exploring (https://youtu.be/SxxmpXPWI5Y) and my mom says this type of exploring could be good for my bunnys brain. Can anyone see any risks in having these animals be friends?

Honestly, I don’t know much about gerbils, but I think if he stays in his ball, and you’re there to watch the whole time, it shouldn’t be a problem. I was worried that the little gerbil would just be scampering around the floor, where he could easily get injured by a bunny back foot, but I think if he’s in the ball then the risks are minimised. I would keep a close eye in case bun gets too interested in the ball and starts rolling it around though.

The other thing to mention is that bunnies shouldn’t be allowed gerbil food as it contains things like seeds that they don’t need

            HAHAHHAH That is SO Cute!!
Just like S&L said – my first worry was that the gerbal was just out on the floor and not in one of those plastic balls they can run around it.
And I also agree with S&L to just watch that the bunny doesn’t start tossing around the ball.
            I think its great otherwise.

Chiming in on the cuteness. Wow, that rabbit’s got some ears! Makes my neck tired watching him/her hop around holding them up so. That’s a Bugs Bunny if I ever saw one. What are the bunny and gerbil’s names?

I don’t see why not. My rabbits and cats play together all the time.

My rabbits name is Tilly (short for Rototiller lol) and my gerbils are named Sucy and Scotch.
I’ve been getting a lot of comments on Tilly’s big ears! Are they really so big?

The gerbil in the ball cracks me up lol! SO CUTE rolling it around.

Yes Tilly’s ears are big! For her body size, that is. Well I have a Netherland Dwarf and his ears are only about 2 inches so…

I have a friend on FB who lets her dwarf hamster and two Mini Rex’s have time together. I think it depends on each individual animal, though, really. I would never put a small animal with an aggressive/territorial rabbit for obvious reasons.
