Yes, you can.  Be aware that the reservoir won’t prevent food, hay, litter, fur or poop from being kicked into the water, so it would still have to be cleaned out/ refilled at least once or twice a day like with a regular crock.  If stuff getting into the water bowl is a concern, you can also use water bottles (altho some rabbits will only accept crocks) or a smaller crock that atteches to the side of the cage or pen.

I wonder how prone it is to being knocked over. My two would make a tossing toy out of it and water would be everywhere if it’s not secured to something.

I have something similar to that – when there is water in it it is usually heavy enough that it won’t tip over. I really like using these because i can go 3-4 days before having to change the water. It would probably last longer but usually a bunny poop gets kicked in it by then!

I had something similar to this, and my bunnies are just too messy – always got hay in there even though i set hay a couple of feet away. So I ended up changing everyday which then defeats the purpose. I think it would work great as long as you have it strategically placed.

I see nothing wrong with this, it seems safe and it all depends on your bunny of course!

I have one. It’s a godsend! I bought it when I had to leave overnight, and now I’m thinking I need another-Kahlua and Rupert use one, and Chuck only needed a bowl but now with Noot I think I’ll buy another one. They do need to be dumped and cleaned about twice a week though, they get bits of fur in them. But they are so heavy my bunnies don’t even try to move them!
