Frankie doesn’t hold interest in toys and such that I get him, but I got him a Busy Bunny basket with hay in it that he loved. He’s now fixated on eating the willow basket… should I be worried if he eats too much at once?

My bunnies get those willow balls and I have wondered the same thing? Mine like really do eat it and I have always been curious?

I ditto your question too. Jersey eats dried willow leaves. I wonder how much is too much.  My thoughts on the dried willow wood Rachel is that it would be ok.  Added fiber to his diet  = good.  Whether there’s anything in the willow itself that he could get too much of?  Not sure. I’m sure BB told me that willow is a low cal healthy treat for bunnies.

We’ve actually discussed this before and the point at which you should be concerned and cut back with the willow is when it affects their intake of hay, veggies and pellets (their regular diet). Willow is good fiber but it lacks all the nutrients that pellets, hay and veggies provide them. Willow should be offered as a treat and not a supplement to their diet. I hope this helps answer your questions! If not, let me know!
