can bunnies get skin tags?

  So I was petting Hermione a little bit ago, and as I was doing so, I felt a little bump near the scruff of his neck (on the side, not under his chin). Now it wasn’t like a lump, it felt the way a skin tag would feel on a human, or like a really intense pimple. I was wondering if rabbits could get skin tags??? Also worth noting is that Hermione just turned 5 and I am aware that as he gets older, health issues are more likely to arrive. Basically I’m asking if there is a chance he has a tumor or something. I don’t know, I’m probably overreacting. I’m very protective when it comes to my baby! <3
  
  One last thing! I cannot see the ‘lump’. It is concealed by his fur and I can’t even push it aside to try and see it.

  Ophelia had something similar on her ear and I remember finding other people on the internet saying it was something like a skin tag. But I’ve only heard of it on the ear. I guess just try to get a feel of it and routinely monitor it. If it is growing in size or bun expresses pain when you touch it, then I would take him to a vet to get it checked out!

  Yep! My Blue feels like he has one single tiny nipple, but in reality it is a very small skin tag on his tum Vet checked it out and said some rabbits get them, and as long as they stay super small, it is nothing to worry about.

  It’s possible for them to have skin tags. However, if it’s hard (keratinized) or cauliflower-like in appearance, then it could be a papilloma.
