  I keep piles of stuff around that might make good bunny toyz. Also, this batch of hay I got from Farmer Dave is pretty stemmy, so I got to thinking.
  
  I have a really heavy cardboard tube that my yoga mat came rolled around. It’s about the diameter of a paper-towel tube but half again as long and much heavier cardboard. I also have some sisal rope from when my old dulcimer player changed out the rope on her stand. "Hey – bunnies like that – gimme!"
  
  I took a generous handful of hay, and got most of it facing the same way. Then I used the rope to tie it to the outside of the tube. I wrapped it irregularly around and around and tied it off. This way she has to really work at getting to the hay.
  
  Then I also stuffed some hay inside with the usual couple of raisins hidden in there.
  
  She adores it, and has gotten a fair amount of the hay off there, but it keeps her occupied for fairly long at a time. So no more swimming lessons!

  Hay! .. I mean Hey! That’s a great idea, Sable seems to have tired of the old pull the hay out of the tube trick, I’m going to try this. I’ve just been noticing that the hay in this las batch has a lot of stems in it.

  Sounds like fun. I’m going to give it a try. Chloe’s getting bored with her toys and I’ve run out of ideas.

  Sable gives it a big thumbs up! I used a toilet roll and cut a few slits in it then passed willow twigs through and wrapped on some hay using sisal twine. This morning I noticed all the hay is gone except the bits trapped under twine and the willow is exposed for chewing. He was tossing it around quite a bit last night.

  aww thats cool domino likes to chew my trainers but i used the loo rolls and hay thingy and he prefers it at last my shoes are safe

  while trying this i got carried away and ate some hay. I see why bunnies love it so much.
