When I put Buster back in her cage today and went to clean up some poo, I heard a low growl as she attacked my arm

First time I heard her make a peep!!!

1 1/2 weeks til her spay

        Hopefully that will help, right?

Yes, it should definitely lessen her territorial instinct.

But nevertheless make it a good habit not to mess with her cage while she is in it. Bunnies don’t like that, and especially not territorial females. You might end up with her marking her territory even if she is spayed.

oh my. I guess I have been lucky. Willie has never done that really. He has nipped at me occassionally when I go to close him in his pen.  He has a rather large pen and he is let out a minimum of 4-5 hours per day…but he still would rather be out playing on his own terms. So sometimes I see people post upset with a smaller cage, however, my willie isn’t in one and he still would rather be out.  Hopefully your spay will help some. How old is buster?  You might just very well not be “allowed” in the cage area. that seems rather typical. I would only clean it if possible when he is out and about. My willie is fine with you climbing right in so far no agression there. I do, however, always clean his cage while he is off galavanting around

Buster will be 7 months old the day she gets spayed next Friday.
My little baby is now a disgruntled teenager!!

Haha, exactly. That’s what is so funny about teenage bunnies – they have such strong personality.

Read this and you will enjoy all the trouble she is getting into:

That sounds about the right age for her to turn into a nightmare! Just read some of Beka’s stories about Meadow – you’re in good company! I think the spay will help a lot.

That article helped me, I remember. At times Karl was such a pain and always looking for trouble, but the article made me appreciate his behaviour and see the fun in it. And now, I sometimes miss having a teenage bunny in the house driving me crazy
