Bunny’s fur is turning from gray to white

Guys my bunnies fur used to be just gray on top with white on the bottom of his stomach and chin. But now I see that the fur behind his fur is turning white! Is it normal for rabbits to change fur color?! Is it because of winter or something? Is it a sign of sickness? By the way the fur behind his ears is also kind of thin. I can see pink under it. Is this because he’s still young? He’s five to six months now.

Thin fur behind the ears is normal. If he’s scratching and grooming it excessively or you see clear bald patches or scratches, that’s when to be concerned.

Slight changes in fur is very possible as a rabbit grows older and grows into their pattern. For example, Wick had a solid white stripe across his shoulder, but as he got older and his body got bigger, the stripe broke into two pieces because black fur grew in. He also gets white fur strands on his back, rather than being all black.

My Peanut had little brown patches but other than that was all black. As he got older his brown patches disappeared. It’s normal

Oh okay! Phew! He doesn’t scratch at it and i don’t think I’ve seen any fur falling out lately so I guess it’s just the normal thin fur. Okay thanks guys!
