Hi everyone! I am new to this forum. I have had my bunny, Valen for over 2 years. Recently I have adopted guinea pigs and I was introduced to C and C cages. So I made one for Valen. A member on the guinea pig forum I belong to found your site for me about this topic.  Valen just started to chew on the edges of his cage. I was thinking of placing the cubes on top and around the sides of the coroplast in his cage. He has plenty of toys and hidey houses! I just don’t want him to get sick or ingest the coroplast. Do you think this will work? And has anyone else done this?

If I must add….this is an awesome site….I wish I would have found it sooner!

I, also, can’t understand exactly what your question is. Our Pongo has a Cube cage three stories high. We have coroplast as the base with the sides being OUTSIDE of the cubes. We don’t have any issues with him being able to chew on the coroplast. He has been in this cage for over a year now with no issues whatsoever. It has worked out very, very well and is super easy to keep clean! We also use coroplast on each individual level which is covered with flannel that I can pull off and wash as need be.

You could try timming the edges so nothing is sticking up (sticking up things make bunnies want to eat them!) and maybe put something like a dish or heavy toy on the edges so your bunny isn’t chewing it.
