Bunny wont stop chewing baseboards Updated

We did some rearranging in the room that Usagi lives in. It only had our elliptical machine in it. now we hung a tv on the wall and moved the elliptical machine from its current position to another. when we did this we also had to move his cage to another wall. Since this occurred he is chewing on the baseboards like crazy.  I have had to cage him because of this. he did this right before he was neutered but that was months ago and quit. I have tried using vinegar, soap and perfume none of these things work. I don’t want to drive an hour away to get bitter apple spray. Does anyone else have any suggestions of what I can do to stop him from doing this? Any advice would be appreciated. I want him to have free range in his room again.

I think I found something that works which I tried in the past. I went and bought hot sauce. It took awhile but I covered the whole  baseboards with the stuff and it has worked. He went over to the baseboard paused and looked at me bit it and backed off. Now he is back to his calm self. Oh and I wanted to clarify that Usagi is not always cooped up in his bunny room. He gets supervised playtime in our main living area. His main room is where he can be out of his cage all day.Its bunny proofed except for the poor baseboards. hehe I am home all day so he and Kilala both get lots of attention from me. My husband said they are spoiled which is true we also have 2 cats and 2 dogs they are my babies.

Unfortunately nothing seems to work on my buns – so we’ve blocked off the most tempting walls, with either an Xpen or NIC grids. Not the prettiest – but it keeps them away from the walls.

Some people use bricks or 1×4 along the wall that is okay for them to chew on. I wish you the best,

Thanks for the input. I had to put and xpen around our elliptical machine in that room because I didn’t realize he could get inside of it and he ate the wiring up on that. It cost almost $100 to fix that. My husband was pretty mad about that and the baseboards. I am hoping he calms down. usagi’s routine was interrupted the past couple of days and he seems a bit mad about it.
