Forum DIET & CARE BUNNY WONT LET ME CHECK NEUTER INCISION

        Bunny got neutered yesterday, he is eating and pooping fine, even jumping on things as normal.. but won’t let me check his neuter site… HELP!!! he doesn’t let me handle him at all

          You shouldn’t let be jumping around too much as that may open the incision. When Luna got Spayed she was still a bit under so it was easy to check but after a few days I would offer her a treat. Not a whole one just half. Im sure others will chime in with different suggestions.

            Could you get someone to hold him? This person could hold the bun so its back is against the holding person’s belly. Hold the hind legs with one hand, (the bun must not be able to kick out!) the front lwgs with the other. You only need to take a quick peek.

            Another method is to place a mirror on a table or the floor, add treats and try to sneak a peek in the mirror as the bun eats the treat. (For example a small amount of grated carrot, not the type of treat that a bun is apt to grab and run off with).

              Either of Bam’s suggestions would work. Boys tend to heal pretty fast though. A quick peek should do just to make sure nothing looks off.
