It’s been about 2 months since her spay and she’s mellowed out soooooooo much it’s wonderful. Ever since I got her and she got settled in she’s been fearless of me and affectionate but not overly so. But since her hormones have settled down she’s become more and more cuddly. When it’s starting to get late at night she insists on sitting with me on the couch or the floor, just sitting next to me to groom herself or flopping down against my leg. Basically, if it’s after 9pm then there is constant physical contact – she’s like glue.
The best though, is first thing in the morning. Since she’s stopped marking on my bed entirely she’s now allowed in my room and every morning she likes to think of herself as my personal alarm clock. First, she repeatably picks up my phone charger cord (in a hard plastic tube) and drops it on the end table (because it makes an awful noise) until I am awake enough to tell her to cut it out (aka she’s sure I’m kind of awake now). Then she will sit next to me in that “I’m really to be groomed” fashion we all know so well. If I start to fall asleep again while petting her she does that thing like dogs do where she will put her nose under my hand and try and bump my hand onto her head to get me to pet her more. If she’s feeling generous she will let me go back to sleep and she’s just stretch out against my leg or something but once again, constant physical contact.
During the day she goes back to being a normal ‘i’m going to go nap under the couch’ bunny but she’s really become so much more sweet and cuddly now that her hormones are calmed down. It’s just really awesome and i’m pretty sure i’m going to be late to work for the rest of my life because my bunny wants to cuddle with me so how do I get out of bed?
