I was cruising the internet this morning for some Critical Care info and ran across a site that has a GI Stasis first aid kit which includes, and I quote “tummy vibrator”. I tried to find a photo somewhere on the site with no luck so I googled it.

        http://www.bunnybunchboutique.com/firstaid2.html

Hint: don’t Google rabbit vibrator when your boss is in the room. I was scared to click on most of those sites, but I found a forum message that mentioned it and it was interesting, wanted to know if anyone here has tried it, Here’s her quote:

“I just made a new discovery. Miss Mary Bunny had a gassy tummy this morning. Now the place where i buy my critical care has a kit you can buy for gassy tummies/stasis. One of the things in the kit is a vibrator for the buns tummy. So i took my back massage thing/pad whatever and place a towel on it and laid Mary on it. I turned it on law and It worked like a charm. Mary wasn’t that thrilled about it at first and so i was rubbing her head and back, but no sooner than laying on it for about 10 minutes did i get some “odors” coming from her butt area. She ate a piece of papaya at the end of her session and then took a short nap. When i went to check on her 1-2 hours later she was eating happily out of her food dish.”

My work (baby store) has “colic vibrating pads” now… it attaches to the parent and you can rest baby against your chest and it gently vibrates. Not sure how effective it is… if you bun would allow you to hold her when she’s not feeling well, it might be worth a shot. LOL!

I don’t have one with this trouble right now, knock on wood, but it was interesting. I have one of those vibrating pads you can put on your chair , I could always try it out.

Hey, it’s definitely worth a try.

I’d be interested in trying something like that. Stormy gets gas bouts once in a while (a mild case last night actually). I always give him a tummy massage and it helps to pass but it might be helpful for a more advanced case of statis.

lol @ bunny vibrator serach (I’ve come across this searching for “bunny toys”)

Actually that makes a lot of sense-tummy rubs work, and if it works on colicing babies-hmmmm

LOL love the google tip heheh

My bunnies should be healthy for quite awhile I bought 3-4 small packs of Critical Care that I have not opened yet when Schroeder was ill- so Murphy’s law says my bunnies will not need CC until it expires.
