Can I bring my bunnies to target with me. I looked online and it says they aren’t dog friendly but I know some stores don’t allowed dogs but do allow rabbits. I want to bring my rabbits because I think it would help with my anxiety and I know one of my bunnies loves getting out, I am not sure about the other one though because he hasn’t been out before.

I would call the store and ask them.

Personally not a big fan of bringing buns out to public places as very few do well with all the noise and lights, but you know your bunnies the best and maybe try and at least aim for a less busy time.

In addition the checking about actual permission, you would need to make sure that both rabbits are taken in a secure way. Also, “going out” can be generally one-dimensional for humans (i.e. we either like it or not a lot of times), but for rabbits, each environment brings different smells, sounds, and unknowns, so if you have concerns about anxiety, I want to be transparent that bringing them with you may be a source of anxiety in seeing how they react, attracting people to you, and how to care/manage them while out in public (ex. they start pooping, peeing, getting rowdy in the carrier, etc.).

I’m unsure how busy your local target is, but perhaps you can try a small store to get a feel for it, if you’ve never done something like this before.

How would you be bringing them in the store?

A typical pet crate would be cumbersome.  Maybe a pet stroller?

But yes, do a couple quick trials at quite stores to see how they like it.

I would bring them in a pet stroller or pet sling ( which would be better? ). My local target is never busy, there hasn’t been a single time where I went and there were more than 50 people ( including workers ).

I would definitely say a stroller– it is more sturdy and likely built of more sturdy material. Again, my recommendation is against actually doing this, but if it is something you really want to try, I’d first test how they do in the stroller/react to it and be accepting that things may change once actually in Target.

My cinnibun loves exploring and they both love going outside ( in my arms only because of rhv2 ). I think it is something they would enjoy otherwise I wouldn’t do it , my bunnies come before everything. I will see how they do in the stroller before going to target than, thanks.
