My bunny has been sneezing a few sneezes in a row occasionally and I just noticed his nose is redder than normal and a little inflamed, but no discharge, he left some food in his bowl. Should I bring him to the vet? Does anyone know what this could be? Or am I just overreacting, because I tend to do that sometimes lol

I would bring him to the vet but maybe someone who is a little more experienced can help

I agree, probably safest to get him checked out. These things are best to get on top of early on. Perhaps something has lodged in his nose?
Do tell the vet he hasn’t finished off his food if that is unusal for him. It may indicate he has some discomfort, or that he is not able to breath as easily.

Thank you both for responding! I was all set to make a vet appointment last night then I woke up this morning and his most only seems a little pink on top, he ate all his greens, and I haven’t noticed him sneezing! I’ll keep monitoring him and I might make an appointment just to be safe, but I did have a friend take care of him for a few days and she switched out my regular carefresh litter for wood shavings, which I prefer not to use, could this be a possible reason for some nose irritation?

That could very well be the reason. I don’t know if those are bad or not but he may have allergies to them. I only use carefresh

Wood shavings are notorious for causing respiratory problems. So I think that could definitely be the reason. If she’s getting better, I’d hold off on the vet visit and just monitor her yourself for a few more days. If she improves, great, if she doesn’t then give the vet a call

Thank you so much for all your help! He is doing better now, no sneezing and is eating all his food, I’m guessing it was just because of the wood shavings, thank you again!
