Bunny Room?

Soooo….. I was thinking…. Maybe I should  give Moxie my room? So I would need you guys’ PROS, CONS, Bunny proofing tips (A.k.a. EVERYTHING! LOL!), and support. But I’m scared she would find some way to hurt herself.

So pretty much, I also need help deciding if it’s worth it.

My room’s floor are thin flexible tile things, that could be peeled off / chewed(the house is really old and a lot of the glue has worn away over time.), though she’s never tried. my walls are wooden panels. She’s never tried to chew that either. My room would me clean, nothing on the floor besides maybe a shirt once in a while? lol. But still, I’m a worry wort.

But she would get freedom to run and play! And that’s what would make me happy.

And if I didn’t make it clear, I would still be living in my room, I would still have my bed and desk, she would just be free run in there. So thanks in advance everybody! I can’t wait to hear what you all have to say!

It is definitely worth it!
PROS: more exercise, happier and more friendly, binkies!
CONS: delicious baseboards!
For bunny proofing, move or cover cords, cover high-chew areas, and perhaps cover the floor in a rug. Get down at a bunnies eye view and search for stuff that might be nommed.

May want to consider blocking off your bed. I’ve no experience with peeing on the bed, but I’ve read it’s quite common for them to do that.

manic_muncher — Moxie has never peed/pooped on my bed. She will hop off and go in the corner of my room.(will be putting litter box there.) So I’m not too worried about that, that could be cleaned. I’m worried she would eat something or run into a wall and break her neck. I know that sounds crazy, but she’s never been out unsupervised, so I’m just nervous.

Oops. I must be a bad binky momma cuz I’ve been letting Butters out of his cage to run around my room freely for several hours a day. He looks so sad in that cage! We let him out as long as we’re around. We keep the cords picked up and nothing else really that he can hurt himself with, so why not? We can’t stand those sad little pleas to come out. We do close him in his cage to sleep at night though.

Get a rug, tape cords to the walls. Bun buns live with me in my room (their room but they said I can share). She won’t run into a wall and break her neck lol, rabbits aren’t THAT stupid lol.

Hi. I keep Sienna free range in my room, and he’s caged at night. Here’s a couple of tips.

Keep cords out of reach, get cord covers, or block them with NIC grids.
If she starts chewing on your wall or wall trim,im heard there’s plastic wall covers that you can buy. Also, she won’t run in to a wall and break her neck, unless she’s blind? Even then, I doubt it.

I must have the strangest bunny in the world! Prince doesn’t chew cords of any kind, no baseboards or anything else harmful. He recently discovered cardboard…he’s 1& 1/2 years old now. Eats anything I give him, and has never been ill. (Fingers crossed). He also has free roam in my home and only hides when there are a lot of people around. His “home” is two levels 56″.long and 42″ wide with a large shelf. He seems to be happy as there are lots of binkies, flops and nose bonks! Is he weird or is this somewhat normal behaviors for bunnies?
