Sucre is let out of his cage for 3-4 hours a day, sometimes longer if I dont have anything to do. Yesterday Sucre had only about an hour or so out of his cage and when I put him back he was not a happy camper.

This morning while I was cleaning his litter box he jumped out of his cage and ran straight for under the couch.(This is unusual because he usually waits by his food dish to be fed). I was on my way to work and was in a hurry. He usually comes to the kissing sound and when that doesnt work I use food to lure him. This morning nothing worked, he wouldnt come out from under the couch!

I finally got him out, was late to work and learned my lesson well.

                   point made Sucre, point made

          LOL That figures. Little stinkers!

Lolli used to bolt for under the bed at “bed” time when Eddie was alive and they had to be put in the pen at night. Used to piss me off so bad. We got into a “fight” one night with me yelling and her thumping. Of course I was using a hanger to try to get her out. LOL

Haha. Mine usually gets defiant the longer she’s out. When i don’t have to work she’s out all day. Then when I put her down for bed, she always diverts the other direction instead of toward her cage. Stinker!

they are soooo good at getting their own way! haha!  Nilly basically now lives in the entire kitchen area and that keeps her managable. Her bonding partner has a large two story cage for now until they are bonded. My hope is they both bond and can be in the kitchen. I want to close up their cage though at night as a habit once they are bonded….just in case….might be a good practice.

We’ve had episodes like that too. Ed has a large door to his “bedroom” when he wants to he can evade our blocking him and get out – with out a prob. Stinky little bunny. Always seems to be when theres no time to pursuade him to go back in – – or when the babys crying.

LOL, mine seem to KNOW when the rare occasions pop up that I need to pick them up (nail trims, etc). Even on the morning there was the tsunami warning here and we were advised to evacuate at 6 am, they seemed to know! They usually run over for craisins and instead the looked at me, like “uh huh, I know what you’re up to human!” so it took me like 25 minutes to get them both into their carrier. They went to work with me that day, lol, just in case! They also stomped all through out the day because they are NOT used to being caged. cranky, spoiled little boogers! lol
