So on monday (3 days ago) I took my rabbit to get spayed. The vet told me he put in three different layers of stitches on her. On Tuesday, I was trying to watch her all day to make sure she didn’t pull them out but of course when i went to shower that night and came back she had pulled them out. I called the vet yesterday and he told me she pulled out the top layer and they expect the bunnies to do that anyways. I checked her out today, and the wound looks like there’s a tiny bit of blood, but I don’t see any openings into her stomach or anything like that. I’m not sure if there should still be any sight of blood at this point, and am not sure if I should skip class today for an overreaction. If anyone with experience could tell me if this is normal or if I should take her to the vet immediately it would be a lot of help. Thank you all!

You should definitely take her to the vet. Any type of oozing could be bad. It’s always better safe than sorry, especially after a spay. If she’s pulling she might need to wear a cone.

I agree with A&B about taking her back in to the vet for a quick look at it. I’m always a better safe than sorry person too and a spay is a very big surgery.

Agree with the others about the vet and possibly needing a cone.
