Hello to whoever is reading this,
I have a rabbit called Mocha; A 1 / 1 1/2 old female.
She is unspayed.
She eats Timothy-hay and Timothy-pellets.
She has had diarrhoea due to a sudden change of temperature. Where I live, it’s usually very hot but recently we have been having sudden rainfall making the temperature swing like a pendulum.
My Mum and I have been to the vet and have been giving her the medication she needed. Her poop is still slightly mushy but she is back to herself.
However, today (8 /8 /2018 ) I have noticed a clear, jelly-like substance coming from her bum
. I picked her up to check and it did not have any putrid smell. I’m very concerned as I have no transport to the vet and have to wait for my mum to come home. The only rabbit savvy vet I know closes at 6pm and my mum gets off work after 6.
I’ve read that it was food not being digested properly, infections, ulcers, teeth related issues and even E. Coli!.
I’ve also read that most rabbits have lack of appetite but Mocha is just fine!
If this has happened to your rabbit (And if you’re comfortable sharing), I would like to know what caused it.
I will not diagnose Mocha with what caused your rabbit to have this, I would just like to know the possibilities of what it might be other than food not being digested properly, infections, ulcers, etc.
Mocha is still eating lots and before I went to school was pooping normally (After her medication),
She is still drinking water,
The temperature in the room she is in is constant.
Thank you for your help and for your time reading this post.
