Hi! My bunny NEVER poops during the few hours after noon (about 12:00 to 5:00), and even hours before that, because of his pooping routine. However, today, he did a poop at a time he never does, roughly 2:00. I’m a little concerned. Is he okay?

Was the 2.00 poops normal poops? Does he have new hay (when a rabbits get anew type of hay that it really likes, it often eats more than normal. More food in obviously results in more poop out 😃) Could he have been a little more active than usual? Activity sets the gut in motion. The main reason why buns poop less during the day is because they rest a lot during that time.

Its not considered an observandum if a bun poops a bit more than normal, if the poop looks good -aka not runny or shapeless and stinky.

Hi! Yup, we were just trying out a new brand, and that was the result. Same old, regular Reese’s puff. Thank you so so much!

It is very good that you’re being so vigilant. Knowing one’s bun normal routines and little quirks is the best thing when it comes to spotting if/when sth isn’tcompletely right early. Early detection of a problem is very important with buns, because as prey animals, they won’t show heavy duty symptoms until whatever isn’t quite right has progressed into sth really wrong.

A little extra hay will definitely lead to a little extra poop! 😆
