         Hello everybody!

I just adopted a new bunny from a not so loving home and she has poop caked on and hardened on her claws. Any tips as to how to remove it?

        Thank you!

        Emily

a warm damp cloth could probably remove it, not too damp. just enough to get a bit of moisture into the poop to work it off. You don’t want bunny to get wet

Poor baby! Thanks for taking her in.
I recommend that method first too.  If you can’t clean her up with just the wash cloth, try sitting her in a few inches of lukewarm water. She won’t like it but hopefully this will be the only time you need do it. The water should soften it up and help you remove it. Be sure she’s dried off throughly too. You can use pure cornstarch to help soak up any remaining moisture – just rub it into fur then brush it out. If her hind end is still damp, you can use a hairdyer on cool setting to gently dry.

              Good luck!

How did you get on cleaning her up? Is she still producing messy poop?
